About Us

Our Story

Keir Steele Waldon Lawyers formed in 2019 after a merger between Keir Steele Lawyers and Spina Kyle Waldon Lawyers. Despite being a relatively young firm in its current iteration, our history in North Queensland dates back to the 1969 when Sam Spina Solicitor began operating in Ingham.

The common thread between founding Directors Michael Keir and Jayson Waldon, was a desire to impact the lives of the people they employ, the communities they work in and the clients they work for. This purpose serves as a reminder every day of why we do what we do.

We provide specialized advice in commercial and corporate law, property law, succession and estate law, employment law and dispute resolution.

Whilst we have expertise spanning all industries in regional Australia, we have developed a strong reputation in the agribusiness sector, advising farmers and graziers on commercial transactions, succession planning and more recently, renewable energy initiatives. We are independently recognized by Doyle’s Guide as leading agribusiness lawyers and have been for many years now.

We are firm believers that the foundation of any good business is its people. We proudly employ over 35 staff with diverse experiences, perspectives and skills, all with a common focus on delivering value for our clients.

We are proud of our impact in regional Queensland, but we know that our story continues to be written. We look forward to continuing to improve outcomes for our staff, community and clients for many years to come.
